I love that the story structure encourages this type of thinking in that it’s s a bit of a puzzle the readers want to solve. But as we get closer and closer to that meet up you can’t help trying to figure out how things are going to go down to make them end up where they are. Although that does still take quite a while as most of the story retains the structure of the previous two novels. The third and final book in The Bone Witch trilogy finally lets us see where the story within the story meet up and we catch up with ‘present day’. The conclusion to the series is quite bittersweet but I really loved it. I really don’t know how this book could have ended other than the way it ended so kudos to the author for really going for it. And when she is left with new blood on her hands, Tea must answer to a power greater than the elder asha or even her conscience… Tea’s black heartsglass only grows darker with each new betrayal. But Tea’s quest to conjure a shadowglass-to achieve immortality for the one person she loves most in the world-threatens to consume her heart. She has used this magic to breathe life into those she has loved and lost…and those who would join her army against the deceitful royals. Tea is a bone witch with the dark magic needed to raise the dead.
